Recommended Posts

We are thinking of having a bee hive on our alotment and wondered if anyone has  experience of this and any tips re: this i.e. training and risk assessing

Also, anyone got one for sale second hand?

Join the beekeepers association , you have to have permission to keep bees from the allotments office . the beekeepers association run course during the winter  and are well worth attending . If you go for secondhand hives they must be properly cleaned or the bees could be infected .

Bee keeping is not just buying a hive off eBay either. There's loads to it, you really need to do a course.
