I've never watched the Apprentice so can't comment but i ask for a reduction or offer a lower price on every second hand item i buy, sometimes i get a reduction sometimes i don't. Including ebay and shpock .

A young lady at Worksop has probably had her months "vintage room" rent paid off the back of my purchases in the last two weeks. Simply because she knocked me a tenner of a vintage chest. So we've gone back three times with family members and almost everyone has bought something, and we're talking hundreds of £'s.
