I saw a Brown and Beige atlantine going up Eastbank rd with Alan Yates  printed on the back of it.

Yep, that's the one I mentioned in message #7. It is actually Volvo/Wright Eclipse Gemini, not an Atlantean.

Alan Yates was a bus driver at Greenland Rd for many years, don"t know if there is any connection though.
