No.  But the two often go hand in hand.

Criticism of Israel does not make anyone antisemitic, as much as you would like to be true...

So have you changed your mind on whether 300 to 400,000 socialist supporters are antisemitc, or do you still believe that?

Now you are gaslighting. The article in the OP is crystal clear about the issue. The headline is:

Quote

^^ that is antisemitism and you are trying to put up a robust defence of antisemitism.

Why is that?

I am not defending anti-Semitism in any way shape or form, do you fancy answering the question I posed you?

This week another(!) jewish friend of mine told me how he was liquidating his assets in case he needed to move the family out of the UK. There are few things that make me want to weep, but the rise of anti-semitism in the UK is one of them. Where it is done in support of the terrorist Hamas regime in Palestine it is even more woeful and misguided. It doesn't matter if you are kicking down or up, you're still kicking. Stop it.

I try to steer clear of this topic as is brings out the political fanatics who don't even understand that they are antisemites. Most of us have learned the lessons of the past, but please, if you have people around you who haven't learned, take them under your wing and help them. This never ends well for anyone.

Thanks.

So, did any of your friends eventually leave the UK because of the rise of anti semitism ?

You are not just defending it antisemitism, you are doing it. It might just be a category error on your part, a lack of understanding, relevant knowledge and experience.

As Paul Simon - a famous Jew - once said; "I want a shot at redemption". Over to you.  :)

In view of the apparent inability to discuss what constitutes antisemitism without accusing people of the same, this thread is going to stay closed.

If this personal attack flows over onto any other threads then bans will follow.
