Anyone been to the Museum at Clifton Park  in Rotherham?

We have been to clifton park museum,it is a nice little place but you can see it all in about 15 minutes.

I think you could spend a bit longer than 15 mins; worth a visit though.

Agree with that Carosio,  I went and enjoyed it,  Can"t remember how long we were there though, but must have been over an hour.

Yorkshirelass - it’s a lovely park, very well kept and you could easily spend a few hours there if you include the whole thing, not just the museum.  

 

After visiting the museum you could have refreshments in the cafe which is at the back of the building or perhaps take a picnic. You might enjoy a leisurely stroll around the park and there are play areas for children. The fountain and planting around the cenotaph are beautiful.  Plenty of parking or just a short walk from the bus station in the town centre.

Great park for the kids, really clean and looked after. The water park and fun fair are great.

 

Like others have said you wouldn't go just for the museum but still worth a visit

When visiting the Clifton Park museum......

 

UNDER the main exhibits, there are drawers & cupboards, Have a peep in them if you are interested.

 

There are some cool items in there.

Thats the Miners workers model village below isn't?,  some residents wasn't very friendly when we drove through it to have a look, shame given its heritage. I think there is an ancient woodland nearby.
