redbig   10 #145 Posted July 15, 2019 New manager now has to identify his own signings with what ever budget he may have. On top of that we have 3 Bruce signings who the new manager may not fancy  Never dull at Hillsborough
 Share this content via...
Hotmale 1954 Â Â 201 #146 Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) To be fair to Geordie The Bruce, he did bring good (loan) footballers to the club. I was impressed with most of them. If they were to be used again, they wouldn't let the new man down I'm sure. I really can't think who could come in and go a good job. Just bringing someone in, in my opinion, would be a brainless move. That said, it wouldn't be our first. bassett one   452 #149 Posted July 29, 2019 GET HIM SIGNED top free player, but whats the catch or is he just being replaced because of age?
 Share this content via...
KLFC   10 #150 Posted July 29, 2019 Presumably, he's deemed not good enough for the Premier League. He did come through the Crewe Alex academy, when Steve Holland was still there, so he's been brought up and knows how to play football properly. I think you need a manager first?
 Share this content via...

He's 28 so I don't think age would be an issue. Probably not deemed good enough, spent last season on loan at Millwall
 Share this content via...

What i surprised to hear and did not know was that they do have a recruitment department, how that works he didn,t say. Hotmale 1954   201 #155 Posted July 30, 2019 (edited) I agree.  Stop Press:  David Downes and Dean Hughes are the two 'Recruitment Department' people. Bully said that ''WE put names to the Chairman, give him our opinions,  and leave it with him''. I wonder if these Recruitment people did the job under Bruce? I'd be surprised if they've been set on since Geordie The Bruce jumped ship.  One audience member said that Bruce had ''jumped ship more than Captain Hook''  Edited July 30, 2019 by Hotmale 1954
 Share this content via...
iansheff   88 #156 Posted July 30, 2019 (edited) Just read that Wednesday are set to sign former AFC Wimbledon defender, Osaze Urhoghide ahead of the new Championship season, a source close to the player has exclusively revealed to Football League World. Only 19 years old looks like they believe he could be one for the future.   https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclusive-sheffield-wednesday-set-to-sign-defender-ahead-of-new-season/ Edited July 30, 2019 by iansheff
 Share this content via...
