I have to keep putting it into flight mode then turning off and on for it to connect. Its contanstly.
I can send and recieve sms no problems but the internet just wont work.
Ive got wifi on my tablet etc so its not the internet or phone provider.
Any ideas anyone?

It's been a while but I seem to remember something like APN settings. These are the settings that your network provider give you that you put in your phone to connect to various services. You should be able to find the settings online or give them a call.

I'm not sure it's the same type of problem but my S8 constantly drops calls. It seems the answer to that is a factory reset. Not something I want to do but if it needs it, I don't have much choice. I'll be changing the SIM to another phone first to make sure it's not a 3 issue.

My old S6 edge did this.

A factory reset was the only solution

Just started a full restore on the S8. Nearly forgot to swap the mobile banking app but most of my files go to SD so just removed that...just in case. I'm not sure what difference it make but I still do a couple of deletes on the cache, then go for full reset, needed?

Take your phone to the Samsung shop in Commercial Street and ask them to have a look.

All  done so time to wait and see if the calls still drop.

I'd forgot about Android FRP.  Not a problem if  you've owned the phone from new but may cause problems if you bought it used. There seems to be plenty of info online if you're not sure.

I think that shop was closed a couple of years ago.

Nope, still there..... always empty though... have been in once myself for a repair quote, and it was ridiculous - so just did it myself...

I went around four weeks ago, it didn't cost us anything because it was software fault that Samsung have known about for over two years but never addressed.
