Euro Elections

mort

This thread has been reviewed and returned to the main forum.

A couple of points for you to take note of.

We expect it to remain civil and within our usual forum rules.

As this is about an election the following will apply

Here at SF we try to ensure fair play, and that includes during elections. We don't allow links direct to political party websites or to sites that spread spurious stories for political influence at any time, and that will continue. We also ask candidates and those campaigning for political parties to follow our code of conduct in the run up to elections. In order to not provide any influence unfairly to any side, we ask that those who are standing or who represent a party refrain from posting in threads to do with political discussion or elections during the 4 week run up to the vote.

It's  mandatory and your account will be suspended if you don't do it.

If you have any questions please take them to the helpdesk rather than starting threads attacking the forum team. If you do that then your account will be suspended.

Oh this is a bad night to be a Remainer.

Why? you seem to be getting your knickers in a twist about the amount of seats your beloved elitist rich mates are getting. Come on now Mr Boot, you love the EU don't you? hehe you had us all fooled all this time. It's not too late to save the poor.

Sack Brexit, Come on MR Boot, come out of the Brexit closet, you can do this.

They are on the wrong side of history. Remainers belong with David Cameron and Nick Clegg's austerity for the poor, riches for the bankers...

You must be delighted that Ann Widdecombe has been elected to represent your party,

3x Remain and 3x Leave.

Real runaway victory for Leave there.  Really?

Wales has flipped to being a Remain nation.

Looks like Nigel farage will be back to dictating Tory policy again.

These results are a loud and clear message that the electorate still wants to Leave the EU.

If people had really changed their mind since June 2016, as many Remainers claim, then it would be a Remain party that was topping the poll, instead of the Brexit party...

Well, you say that.  But the country is showing to be majority in the remain camp.  I do not think the Tories are stupid enough to not look at the next GE.  Remember, what are the parties main aim above all else?  To remain in power.

But all the intellectuals told us that Britain had changed their mind and did not want to leave?!?!?!?

It pretty much always comes down to remainers saying "this is bad because I say it's bad. This is fine though because I say it's fine," an opinion by people who hold themselves to be the morally pure arbiters of universal truth and humanity.

Which is ironic, as they're virtually always social rejects with few positive qualities other than shouting "racist" at people if you do not agree with them. Oh and they hate democracy.

Apparently no one who voted cons or lab are leave voters. How odd.

Are you stupid enough to think the results of Yorkshire and the Humber can be extrapolated nationwide?

Ok, you’re pretty naïve.  Labour is clearly Remain based on what they are saying tonight.  Whereas, the Tories have be counted as Leave.

Even in the Brexit Party there is no consensus on how to leave.

I think it’s still pretty much 50:50. Nothing has been resolved. Not one thing.

Why do you dislike intellectuals? Are you really so insecure?

How do you feel about doctors, for example? Or your solicitor? Or the person who designed your car?
