Euro Elections

mort

This thread has been reviewed and returned to the main forum.

A couple of points for you to take note of.

We expect it to remain civil and within our usual forum rules.

As this is about an election the following will apply

Here at SF we try to ensure fair play, and that includes during elections. We don't allow links direct to political party websites or to sites that spread spurious stories for political influence at any time, and that will continue. We also ask candidates and those campaigning for political parties to follow our code of conduct in the run up to elections. In order to not provide any influence unfairly to any side, we ask that those who are standing or who represent a party refrain from posting in threads to do with political discussion or elections during the 4 week run up to the vote.

It's  mandatory and your account will be suspended if you don't do it.

If you have any questions please take them to the helpdesk rather than starting threads attacking the forum team. If you do that then your account will be suspended.

I support the Brexit Party on a single issue - the UK must Leave the EU.

Why?

When the workers voted to Leave the EU in the referendum, it sent the ruling class into crisis. Voting to Leave the Bosses Club was the single most effective blow against global capitalism in the last 60 years.

We told the rulers what we wanted. The rulers ignored us. Now we must tell them again.

Let's do this!

What about real issues that really matter?

Car Boot, Boris and Rees-Mogg.

Just wait until they get their mitts on the means of production.

We can only nationalise energy, water and transport once we have left the EU.

When do you think prime minister Boris Johnson will embark on this programme of nationalisation?

Here comes the important bit, so read carefully.

The Tories are not going to be in power forever.

In fact, Brexit will destroy them as an electable party. Jeremy knows this.

So you want the likes of Farage as a ruler instead?

You can vote Brexit Party but they won’t have any MPs and won’t have any executive power

You need a general election for that.

Brexit, if it happens in anything but it’s softest form, will destroy Labour as well.

And neither is Jeremy corbyn. When he fails to win a majority against the worst elected government in the history of this country, he’ll be moved on and someone else a little less lefty will be in charge. Let’s say sir kier starmer. Don’t see him nationalising everything in sight. We may see coalition after coalition after coalition if both the major parties get a kicking. But we won’t see a massive programme of nationalisation. Maybe the railways OR something else but not the lot by a mile.

You have no way of measuring the Labour vote for apportionment to leave or remain. As has been said, some people will always vote Labour, just because. 50/50 apportionment is fair,

The pollster John Curtice has said over 70% of all leave supporters intend to vote for Farage which mean that the remaining 30% will either not vote, vote UKIP or the BNP and the rest will be voting for Labour and Coservative candidates.

Those 5 million votes will be spread very thinly and will certainly not account for 50% of the Labour vote. That is just wishfull thinking on your part.

After this weekend, safe to say you can discount Liverpudlians from that 30% potential vote for UKIP/BNP/weeTommy 😂

You have no way of measuring the Labour vote for apportioning to leave or remain. Pretending you do is just wishful thinking on your part.

Ps. Did you see Jezza's performance on Andrew Marr yesterday? Good comedy.
