Agreed,  history suggests that,  I just don't see it with Chris Wilder and Alan Knill at the helm.  If Stoke could survive in the top tier for ten years, I think we can, with this management team.

Stoke spent big for years, just to tread water-on the flip side Fulham spent big for one season, only to come straight back down, it's about getting a balance.

Fulham made a real hash of it, but spending smart is the Wilder way, picking out gems, rough diamonds that just need the right chance in the right system with the right manager.

Put it this way, Brit Assombalonga cost more than our entire first team.

Well done United, deserved it after a consistently good season. Hopefully see you up there next year.

Just seen this stat, incredible if correct!

"...Since Chris Wilder became Sheffield United manager in 2016, only Manchester City have taken more points in all four divisions (266-257)..."

Leeds United still drawing against Villa

United could do well in premier league

Thankfully United aren't in this years championship playoffs as all 4 teams competing are huge clubs

Wouldn't like to guess who's going to emerge from playoffs

Er....silly post really isn't it?, we have beaten the four teams currently in the play offs already this season, so nothing for us to worry about if we had to go up by that route.

But we didn't need it, we are promoted, it's taken us 12 long years but we are back in the top flight, the pride of Sheffield.
