It's been negative all season 😂😂😂 Edited April 22, 2019 by Guest
 Share this content via...
redbig   10 #26 Posted April 23, 2019 Great 2nd half to the season. Pity we didn't get rid of Jos sooner otherwise we might have had a chance  Hope we can carry on next season, all depends on embargoes and budgets though
 Share this content via...

Its a massive summer ahead, changes are inevitable as consequence of successive failures. Lets hope DC has learned something from the mess of the last two seasons. The way you have been playing since SB came must bode very well for next season. Maybe next season will be your year?
 Share this content via...

You'd hope so but it depends on what state our finances are in. We might end up losing loads of out of contract players (including regulars Westwood and Palmer) but not being able to replace them. Padders   2,865 #30 Posted April 23, 2019 I"m passionate about both Sheffield clubs, a city the size of Sheffield should be able to compete in the Prem. Hopefully we will have one there come Sat evening, next season lets make it 2 clubs.
 Share this content via...

You don't have to look too far to see what can be done on a shoestring budget. Big (and reckless) spending doesn't guarantee success and your club is testament to that. It's in SB's hands to weed out the dross that takes all and gives nothing in return.
 Share this content via...

Hotmale 1954   201 #36 Posted April 23, 2019 Let's not beat about the bush here. Yes, Jos didn't help us much with his shilly shallying, but when all said and done, it was the players' very poor application under him that made us ultimately fall short. Even with his poor team selections, we still had enough quality on the pitch to do a damn sight better than we did do earlier in the season. We're only three or four wins from a very respectable position and we'll end up around 8 points or so short of a Play-off place.... (open to scrutiny) With better mindsets and better application, these points should easily have been clocked up earlier on in the season. I know Bruce has improved things (better selection, more dynamic) but ultimately, it's the players who've pulled their socks up. Shame they didn't pull 'em up a touch higher from August to January. Just pulling one sock up each would have got us in to the Play-offs. So well done players from January to April, but just where were you previous to that? Not good enough. Must do better. Should do better. There's plenty of optimism for next season (there's still a chink of light for this season, but we're going to need Life Support) so we'll see how we go. There's a lot of water going under lots of bridges between now and August. That said, it's pretty good being a Wednesdayite at the moment. Stacks better than back in November.
 Share this content via...
