Chrissoftley 10 #7 Posted April 17, 2019 Detectives are investigating following a stabbing in Chapeltown in which two men were injured. At around 7.35pm last night (Tuesday 16 April), emergency services received reports of a collision between two cars, a Mazda and a Golf, on Burncross Road at the Lound Side roundabout. Two men inside the Mazda are then said to have assaulted the occupants of the Golf, two men aged 21 and 25, before leaving the area in a Seat Leon. Detective Chief Inspector Phil Etheridge, said: “Both men were taken to hospital where they were treated for minor stab wounds and have now been discharged from hospital. “Sheffield CID are continuing with enquiries in the area today to identify those involved and ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. While the investigation is in its early stages, we are treating this as a targeted attack but we need help to understand the reason and who specifically was behind this attack. “If you were in the area and saw what happened, or have any information, please contact us.” Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 767 of 16 April 2019.
