horribleblob   202 #24 Posted April 17, 2019 I see from print and online media that the UK, and people involved with the York Minster and Windsor Castle restorations, have offered expert help with rebuilding Notre-Dame – a solidarity which is good to see.  I was particularly encouraged by this Reuters’ piece which references the Compagnons du Tour.  https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-france-notredame-restoration/notre-dame-will-reign-magnificent-again-say-windsor-castle-restorers-idUKKCN1RS17J  I also found out today that Henry VI of England was crowned  in Notre-Dame (not to mention three weddings: James V of Scotland, Mary Queen of Scots, and Charles I of England), underlining our strong historical ties.
