adama   10 #1 Posted April 4, 2019 My Lenovo laptop started playing up a week after it ran out of it's warranty. It keeps shutting down and restarting for no apparent reason, sometimes it can do this several times in the space of a few minutes, can anyone recommend somewhere I can take it to get it looked at. Thank you in advance.
 Share this content via...

zach   235 #3 Posted April 5, 2019 Heat is one of the main causes.  I know we call them laptops but putting them on your lap is a bad idea. It blocks the vents and drags loads of dust into the cooling fins/fans. If you run it on a table would it stay on or take longer to restart?  If the fan and cooling is clogged up, it will probably need a strip and clean. I'm busy at the moment but Ghozer and Mozolan get good feedback on repairs.
 Share this content via...
