R.I.P Ranking Roger

Recommended Posts

No way!

It always gloomed me that he and Dave Wakeling never reformed the original band.

A memory which will last with me forever is seeing The Beat supporting The Clash in Paris  with 2000 French punks bouncing up and down singing Stand Down Margaret at the top of their voices!

'I see no joy

 I see only sorry

I see no chance of your bright new tomorrow'

Jesus that could have been written today!

Very sad and 56 is far too young.

He was also so damn good-looking.

RIP and thank you for the great music.

apparently he had a stroke in August and they were expecting him to recover, hes sadly died.

He was reported to have been diagnosed with two brain tumours and lung cancer in recent months.

Such a sad loss. He was  a great performer.

RIP rudeboy

I always had a soft spot for this one. Love the sax on this song!

So dad. I saw Ranking Roger's version of the beat up at the Brudenell  just a few years back . An absolutely blinding evening full of energy .
