Quoted from article:

"Q: So CO2 has nothing to do with global warming …

A: First we must be clear that there is, currently, no global warming. The global temperature has fluctuated over the past 15 years around a stable value, with no upward trend. The IPCC — Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change — models all predicted a steady increase of 0.2°C per decade, and this has not occurred. We have had global warming and cooling over geological time, and of course over the past century.

This is a good thing, as it warmed the planet from the cooler temperatures of the Little Ice Age. Agriculture, and civilisation flourishes with warmer temperatures. CO2, however, has had no apparent impact on the warming periods.

In fact, we experienced cooling during the years from 1950 to 1975 when global emissions were rising very quickly. Therefore, in the past we’ve seen no evidence for CO2 as a climate driver. Further, we can attribute the recent warming of the past century to a more active sun. The correlations are much stronger than between warming and CO2, and the science supporting a solar connection to climate warming and cooling becomes stronger each year."

Hahaha. That is laughable untrue.

Highlighting the reality that we as a species are facing extinction.

Ninety per cent of all organisms that have ever lived on the earth are now extinct. Many of them died out due to climate change altering their environment.

Wealthy middle class white folk seem to believe that they can stop this happening. They can't.

Talking errant nonsense as per - the ability to stop it, or at least slow it, is there. It's a lack of political will that's the sticking point.

Also, if you think climate protest is the sole preserve of the white middle classes, you either haven't been paying attention or you're being wilfully ignorant.

'Extinction Rebellion' is composed of immensely wealthy and overwhelmingly white people from privileged backgrounds dictating how the working class should live. It is another self indulgent stunt by the affluent and socially advantaged.

You do understand the effect that climate change will have on the poorest people in the world, don’t you.

It is an inherently good thing that some rich people are campaigning about such an important issue.

Maybe they are wealthy, because they are successful.

Maybe they are successful, because they are talented.

Might understand at an intellectual level - morally, probably just doesn't care. Very selfish.

Yes, the socially advantaged 'Extinction Rebellion' protesters are very selfish, and hypocritical indeed. They preach that the working class shouldn't take their one holiday abroad a year but it's okay for the wealthy to use private jets like taxis.  Extinction Rebellion is not at all representative of the UK population. It is a non-diverse, anti working class movement for the privileged white children of the establishment.

Rich people are not a part of the solution. Rich people are the problem. The higher the income and level of affluence, the higher the carbon footprint.

You've become a parody of yourself. That's white a feat.

Climate change protesters will have zero influence on any changes because the amount that can be changed is so tiny it makes no difference, as for the protesters extinction rebellion they are nothing more than attention seeking timewasters that actually increase pollution by holding their silly little car protests.

Why don't Extinction Rebellion criticise their own supporters, such as Dame Emma Thompson?

Why do prominent Extinction Rebellion leaders such as  Robin Boardman-Pattison declare that flying 'should only be used in emergencies'  - despite his and Dame Emma Thompson's extensive travels jetting around the world?

Why do Extinction Rebellion demand that the working class shouldn't fly but think it's acceptable for the rich to do so very frequently?
