Persecute the corporates, not punish the people who are wage slaves.

How does that work?

'Extinction Rebellion' activist Dame Emma Thompson has been seen on a British Airways Boeing 777-200 (which seats just 14 very wealthy passengers in its first class cabin) on a flight from London to New York. Tickets cost £thousands and the flight creates nearly two tons of climate changing carbon dioxide.

Emma was spotted in 2F - one of the most exclusive first class seats - and believes that flying is causing a climate crisis.

'Extinction Rebellion' is a wealthy elite damaging the environment but it's okay because they are posh and have lots of money.

'Extinction Rebellion' wants to close Heathrow airport to the working class on their one holiday away a year, but permits it's £multi-millionaire activists with a massive sense of entitlement to fly first class whenever they feel the need.

It does come across as hypocritical .

It's not climate change when the rich cause it, obviously.

Fwiw, I suspect that's per passenger...

But isn't this representative of the orthodox sciences that you have been accusing (in other threads) of being not valid?

Quoted from article:

"Q: So CO2 has nothing to do with global warming …

A: First we must be clear that there is, currently, no global warming. The global temperature has fluctuated over the past 15 years around a stable value, with no upward trend. The IPCC — Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change — models all predicted a steady increase of 0.2°C per decade, and this has not occurred. We have had global warming and cooling over geological time, and of course over the past century.

This is a good thing, as it warmed the planet from the cooler temperatures of the Little Ice Age. Agriculture, and civilisation flourishes with warmer temperatures. CO2, however, has had no apparent impact on the warming periods.

In fact, we experienced cooling during the years from 1950 to 1975 when global emissions were rising very quickly. Therefore, in the past we’ve seen no evidence for CO2 as a climate driver. Further, we can attribute the recent warming of the past century to a more active sun. The correlations are much stronger than between warming and CO2, and the science supporting a solar connection to climate warming and cooling becomes stronger each year."

A few things.

1) 'no upward trend over the last 15 years' : this simply isn't true. Not even close.

2) the suggestion that temperature should *immediately* rise in step with emissions is naïve, in the extreme. It might surprise you to hear that the earth's climate has just a little bit of lag. Decades at least.

3) the article goes on to claim that CO2 isn't even a greenhouse gas.

4) we're getting our science from oil funded financial websites?

I could go on, but I really shouldn't have to.

Extinction Rebellion protesters spray fake blood on to Treasury

Four arrested after activists lose control of fire engine hose and bystander gets drenched

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/oct/03/extinction-rebellion-protesters-spray-fake-blood-treasury-london

The privileged middle-class are once again dictating how the rest of us should live, this time using an untaxed privately owned diesel fuelled fire engine. Extinction Rebellion have named some those involved, including retired Bristol University lecturer Phil Kingston, 83, retired GP Diana Warner, 60, musician Cathy Eastburn, 52, forest school teacher Árainn Hawker, 48, Buddhist teacher Mark Ovland, 36, and token working class electrician Liam Norton, 34.

We really need to keep these middle-class scum off our streets!

You are of course, completely correct - but there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
