"...satellite temperature measurements which show no increase since 1998..."

Not a lot of people know what,

"The BBC continued its climate change propaganda season last night with David Attenborough’s well trailered “Climate Change – The Facts?”

The opening sequences, recorded against film of hot weather and including these quotes, left no doubt of where the programme was headed:"

https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2019/04/19/attenboroughs-climate-change-the-facts/

Well in the interest of balance, the BBC should offer airtime to those who reject the theory of global warming, as long as they can substantiate their facts.

I wonder if Jon Snow will be commenting again that he's never seen so many white faces at a protest in central London?

I think he'd only sneer so much about protests where he disagrees with the cause.

I see more substantiation in that blog than I did in the whole hour long BBC state funded propaganda programme last week.

'Extinction Rebellion', the group that is composed of mainly white, upper middle class people, have been targeting the financial sector in London because "the economic system of this country is part of the problem".

When the economic system of this country drives austerity and delivers the working class and underclass to food banks, poverty, misery and death - not a word of protest is heard from these posh people.

Yet bring in climate change and suddenly they are concerned. A few years from now many of the students on these protests will be chasing internships at places such as Goldman Sachs, saving the planet completely forgotten.

We have been exhausted by a thousand cuts. Our places of work have become sites of exploitation and abuse, our positions precarised. Anxiety has replaced confidence, branded products have eclipsed community in our hearts. No wonder we find it hard to focus on our interests when we have been repeatedly disciplined to accept that we must embrace the privations and displacements of austerity in order to achieve some sunlit upland somewhere, some day, only to find that promise empty. Thus the future has gone. We no longer see a future, so the notion of a tomorrow being menaced by such catastrophe as that represented by global warming and climate disaster paralyses our exhausted collective intellect. No wonder we are fearful, it is not surprising that we ridicule those who try to stimulate our sluggish imaginations and alert us to the horrors that are already hidden in the future. They remind us of our humiliation.

The planet does not require humans to save it.

The planet is not actually in any danger.

The planet has survived countless temperature fluctuations which have transformed it from frozen to tropical. The survival of the planet has never been under threat from climate change.

'Climate disaster' is in reality about maintaining a certain set of western economic lifestyles (with all their material privileges) and protecting a certain set of animals from an extinction event.

'Saving the planet' is a complete misnomer.

The planet is fine. The planet will go on in the same way it did before we even existed. It's about saving the privileged western lifestyles of the children of the rich.

'Outrage is justified': David Attenborough backs school climate strikers

Exclusive: broadcaster says older generations have done terrible things and should listen to young

"The outrage of the students striking from school over climate change inaction is “certainly justified”, according to Sir David Attenborough, who said older generations had done terrible damage to the planet. In an interview with the former UN climate chief Christiana Figueres, the broadcaster and naturalist dismissed critics of the widely praised global movement of school strikes as cynics."

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/apr/26/david-attenborough-backs-school-climate-strikes-outrage-greta-thunberg

Attenborough attacks ALL of the older generation for climate change when, in reality, its just the rich - people such as himself - who have done most of the terrible damage.

Sir David Attenborough is the most-travelled human in history, with the exception of astronauts. He is thought to have travelled by air more than airline pilots do in the course of their career. The very wealthy anthropologist-broadcaster notched up 256,000 miles - the equivalent of 10 times around the world - while making just a single BBC series, 'The Life of Birds'.

Sir David Attenborough, and other carbon criminals such as Prince Harry (who travelled by climate destroying helicopter from London to Birmingham just days before lecturing the rest of us on the damaging impact of climate change) and his parasitic family are feted as saviours when they are the most responsible individually for climate extinction.

Most of the older generation couldn't afford air travel when the Royals and Attenborough were destroying the planet in their younger days. But it's not climate change when the rich cause it.

so Attenborough has traveled the world extensively? its his job, has his programmes brought the natural world, and the damage done to it to the masses over the last 50 or so years?

Withough him and his shows it might never have.

Is the climate change crisis over then ?  because all last week protesters were saying that they were staying until the government listened to them and until they got what they wanted

In western terms I live, like multi millions of other people, a relatively basic life; there is little scope for reducing our already basic lives. Do these climate change protestors want us to live like Ghandi or what?? **** off.
