There's unanimous consensus for an extension, but concerted effort by France to influence the other 26 for a short extension only. Barnier is reported to be onside with Macron for June 2019. June 2019 from now doesn't look long enough for a GE or a further referendum, they may as well not bother.

To be honest I dont think either a GE or another referendum was on the cards anyway. The EU will be changing those in charge, in November Junker stands down and in December its Tusk so it all needs to be put to bed well before then.

Im starting to hope we have to elect MEP`s so we can cause all sorts of grief and problems for the muppets in Brussels by vetoing their important decisions.

Wait, what? I thought we were powerless in the EU and we had no say in the laws they made.

Are you saying that's not actually the case, that our MEPs have some clout? We'll be using our veto next.

if they insist we elect MEP`s there will be many ,many eurosceptics elected from England,so we may as well cause as many problems as we can ,and try and destroy the corrupt dictatorship from within before we leave.

The EU are about to be faced with dozens of Nigel Farage`s.

A corrupt dictatorship isn't one that allows us to elect our own MEP's - or keep our own currency - or opt out of Schengen - etc etc

Really?

Early polls are showing that Labour will be the big winners, the Tories will have their arses kicked and the Brexit Party will struggle to win 10% of the vote not helped by the fact that the anti-EU vote will be split with UKIP.

Anyone thinking that this will be a re run of the last EU elections is in for a shock!
