The U.K. is still in, and had to run European elections, because your Leaver MPs couldn’t agree on how to leave between themselves. They still can’t.

we were promised that other countries would just jump at the chance to offer us great trade deals - everything we wanted and more - the "sunlit uplands"

 

the reality is that we're relatively small, and soon we'll be desperate.

Most of the ERG continued to reject  Mrs May's withdrawal agreement because it was a bad deal for our country.  It was Mrs May who stated no deal is better than a bad deal after she became Prime Minister..  We'd be out now if Parliament hadn't blocked a no deal which was the default legal position Parliament agreed to when they voted overwhelmingly in favour of triggering Article 50.  It is not the fault of the ERG why our country is still in the EU.

'no deal' was always dismissed as 'project fear'.

 

We were promised the easiest trade deals in history.

 

And it's worth remembering that the EU have offered us a Canada style trade deal - we said no, we didn't even discuss the details.

Of course, we're smaller than the EU, so we get a less-good deal.

 

And of course, looking down the barrel of no-deal, we are not in a position to negotiate. We have no stepping stone, no life boat, no plan b.

 

We turned down the EU's offer of a trade deal.

 

We turned down their offer of a stepping stone (the withdrawal agreement).

 

The same people who tell us that WTO terms are nothing to worry about are the same people who are blaming remainers, the EU, anyone but themselves, for us careering out with no trade deal.

 

We could (should?) be out by now, with a half-decent trade deal. But we've turned down every offer of help.
