No I don't think it is correct as I have already read some figures on it and can only ask you to provide the links to yours so as to compare them.

That is the problem, you read something, it may be true; it was probably that month or that quarter.

How many people will go and find the information for themselves?

Getting the figures from 2016 is without the spin. Can you or anyone else find the information for themselves?

Last figures I heard on the wireless, was that the UK GDP growth was above the the rest of the 27.

Angel1

The UK economy shrank by 0.4 per cent in December amid deepening uncertainty about the country’s future after Brexit. Analysts had predicted zero growth for the month.

The latest official data showed GDP suffered a sharp slowdown during the final three months of 2018, expanding by just 0.2 per cent between October and December, down from 0.6 per cent in the previous three months.

Annual growth dropped to a six-year low of 1.4 per cent in 2018, with economists warning the slowdown would likely continue into this year unless a Brexit deal is agreed.

Reading that, you would think things are really bad, but I believe that we are 0.1% ahead of Germany, on a monthly basis. But measuring the GDP on a monthly basis is plain daft, but it makes a good headline.

Elton John - "I am a European...not a stupid, colonial, imperialist English idiot". The singer says Brexit has made him ashamed to be British.

So much for Brexit restoring pride in our national identity :P

Threatening to destroy your own countries economy, and supporting those that will benefit from such destruction is not patriotism either

That's the problem, we need to know where El Cid gets his figures from as it may just be hearsay otherwise.

https://tradingeconomics.com/united-kingdom/gdp-growth-annual

https://tradingeconomics.com/european-union/gdp-annual-growth-rate

No one else seemed eager to work it out, so here it is!

Just add up all the 1.7% and 1.7% ....................... and see if our figures match. But what people prefer to do, is take the easy way out and rely on the media, who are biased.

Churchill wrote on 15 February 1930:

“We have our own dream and our own task.  We are with Europe, but not of it.  We are linked but not combined. We are interested and associated but not absorbed.”

Just a pity the remoaners have little or no faith in our Country, unlike Winston.

Churchill wasn't a little Englander and promoted a united states of Europe. He signed the first Anglo-French agreement declaring that the UK and France were now one nation.

The disgrace is all yours, you are the ones who want to be ruled by the EU, the bill will be coming your way whether you want it or not, the more you delay the more it will cost.
