I did.

An anti-Brexit Labour Party winning a General Election, far from frightening the markets, would have been supported by the world markets along with a massive boost in the value of the pound giving Corbyn all the liquidity needed to carry out his nationalisation program with minimal borrowing.

An absolutely unique opportunity for a successful, left wing economic programme to be successful, jeopardised by Corbyn’s outdated, Bennite €uroscepticism.

Perhaps you should campaign for world markets to vote for them. They'd still not win.

Unfortunately it's the electorate that do. Labour decided that taking that stance would alienate their voters, so didn't do it.

How you must miss dreamboat Blair 😂

So how do you know what "the people" want?

Countless polls taken over the past three years that not only show a clear majority for Remain but also a majority that is increasing every month that passes.

What polls? Who was polled, those who voted in the last referendum or others? Are those polled eligible to vote in the next referendum if we have one? What proportion of the people in the UK do they represent? Whatever it is, can you now claim that "the people" of the UK want to remain? Do you accept the First Past The Post system?

Not for a referendum on a major matter which has implications for decades.

The problem with the FPP system is that if one side wins by only one vote and two people  change their mind or die the following day, you are then trying to implement a major policy without popular support. That is why such referenda in most parts of the world have a minimum level of support set so that if there is a shift in opinion  there will still be majority support for the proposal for a reasonable number of years.

Also if the proposal is for a union like the UK to make a change that affects the union as a whole, all parts of that union need to agree to that proposal.

The constant childish shouts of 'losers!' and  'remoaners' by many leave supporters is not because of the referendum result but the fact that majority support is for remain which makes it both morally and democratically wrong to continue a path which is not supported by the populous.

This is great news. The Speaker is staying on and the so called legal default of leaving with no deal with Parliament being sidelined won’t be allowed.

With Parliament being in the majority of not leaving without a deal. I think a no deal exit has now become an impossibility.

Given the current state of British politics, I think there's no such thing as "impossible" outcomes and, where a no-deal exit is concerned, until such time as either Parliament ratifies the WA, or orders the PM to withdraw Article 50.

You may think that but others don't as its not a matter of it not being allowed. We will be getting a new PM which changes things somewhat as far as procedure is concerned.

As L00b has pointed out parliament must either ratify the WA or order A50 to be cancelled otherwise it will remain the legal default.

Can’t see how he can mount a successful leadership bid with this over his head.

Even if he did win something that bad will hobble his ability to do anything if he were to take office.

First off.. Anyone who thinks Boris should be PM is about as nuts as him.

But, this will also depend on when this is scheduled to go to court as that will almost certainly be well after the PM contest an in all honesty I doubt he will be found guilty of anything.

That will very much depend on the jury.

It is not outside the realm of possibility that a jury made up of people thoroughly  fed up with the current political system may ignore the direction of the judge and bring back a guilty verdict.
