Hang on a minute.  The Barclay Brothers who own The Ritz and The Telegraph who are huge supporters of the likes of Boris Johnson and frequently publishes his rubbish in their paper do not count?  You could do with some enlightenment by looking in the mirror.

The EU has today passed new pro-big business copyright laws which will lead to censorship on a huge scale. Just linking to news articles on forums such as this will become impossible.

Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia: "The free and open internet is being quickly handed over to corporate giants at the expense of ordinary people. This is not about helping artists, it is about empowering monopolistic practices.”

The EU doing what it does best, empowering big business at our expense.

I wonder how many people will support the EU after they realise that YouTube will not be able to operate in the EU?

Much more likely, as already advocated by YouTube and others, is that 'blocked access' for EU citizens to various sites content will become the norm.

It will be able to operate - just not host copyrighted material without payments to the people who hold the copyright.

The EU - empowering big business and the rich but giving 'blocked access' to the little people.

It just means slimmer profits for web giants and more income tax paid by artists.

As previously pointed out - mega rich Google were opposed to this.

You know the mega rich corporation that farms your personal data.
