It’s even funnier than that.

These people are the ones who have been saying we should take back control.

One of the very first things they want the U.K. government to do is blindly cave into all the demands from the USA.

That isnt taking back control. That’s being jolly well told what to do.

Its absurd

Looking at the food from the EU, the UK wouldn't be worse off importing from the US.

Oh...OK...

...that convinced me

For posters more logically disposed, this interesting aside about US food importing just reminded me that your membership of all EU FTAs in place ends in 25 days' time. By the way.

The EU has no legal ability to force the FTA counterparts, with which it signed these agreements, to continue trading with the Brexited UK on the same terms as the other EU27. Regardless of whether the withdrawal agreement is signed or not.

All the EU has, is commercial leverage and goodwill, to lend the UK.

Except it doesnt work like that in the EU as explained perhaps thousands of times already already on SF brexit threads.

Selling our sovereignty to the highest corporate bidder is what you want.

Giving sovereignty away is what you want.

Anyone who contemplates giving up their country to a foreign power is an embarrassment to their country.
