industrial printer network drops

Recommended Posts

got this agfa industrial printer, standalone, but has a windows 7 PC connected to the print head direct via ethernet

when started the RIP program appears to make the network connection drop, starts off by constantly identifying network then red cross in the corner and the print eventually aborts

cant ping anything

until you kill the program, and network comes back on, all hunky dory

windows is up to date, tried another network card still same thing

it's just this program, anything i can do to stop what its doing, permissions perhaps, run as different user not admin ....

You could try disabling the routing through the default gateway. It’s an option under the TCP/IPv4 settings of the network connection.
