Rape Crisis centre bombarded with racist abuse by Tommy Robinson supporters.

Recommended Posts

Just when you thought Steven Yaxley-Lennon couldn't stoop any lower - the (sadly) well known scumbag outdoes his own record for being a bigoted moron. Little Tommy posted an image a leaflet from a Rape Crisis centre about specialist support for Black, Asian and ethnic minority (BAME) women, with the crassly stupid comment ''I guess it's Ok to rape white women then??!?!?!''.

Entirely predictably, said centre has been bombarded with hundreds of racist and abusive phonecalls from his knuckle dragging fan base, seriously compromising their ability to help women in crisis. This sorry episode underlines the reality that Tommy and his scumbag mates really only care about women's welfare when they're white and really only care about rape when it's perpetrated by Asian men.

In order to get a few ideas in order right at the start, here's part of a statement issued by the centre, explaining the rationale behind the leaflet and the service -

"Rape Crisis (Wycombe, Chiltern and South Bucks) recognises that some groups of women who have survived sexual violence and abuse can face additional barriers to accessing services, including related to language and to the fear and/or past or current experience of racism and racial discrimination.

"As part of its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, it therefore offers a specialist service for black, Asian and minority ethnic women aimed at overcoming some of these barriers.

Way to go Tommy - damaging a service to help victims of rape. You're a real prince among men.

The whole premise of having a centre available exclusively for certain race is... well, racist by definition.

That mention of inclusion sounds like a joke then.

It isn't exclusive, as anyone with basic comprehension skills can readily see.

Would it accept and help white women who had been raped then?

Publicizing the fact that you employ someone who speaks Urdu doesn't mean you only deal with people who speak Urdu any more than somewhere in Wales advertising they have staff members who can speak Welsh means they'll refuse service to English speakers.

Just for the avoidance of doubt for those trying to claim this is a race issue, from the Wycombe Rape Crisis website:

The charity provides an equal opportunities service to all women, regardless of race, cultural background, sexual orientation, and disability.

So, now you've been educated, can we look forward to you coming back to condemn Tommy and his supporter's disgusting behaviour?

Whilst I applaud what he is doing with regards to the BBC, he must have known what would have happened when he posted about the rape crisis center. It was a bloody stupid thing to do and he should remove it from his Facebook, maybe make a statement specifically asking his supporters and others NOT to contact this center causing problems for them.

Rape crisis centers are too few in number as it is and dont have deep pockets. Who ever they offer services for they should be supported by everyone. They do a fantastic job helping people in terrible circumstances.

Hmmm...

... well contrary to claims in the OP that the service has been 'damaged', I would say that this incident is helping to promote the service.

The more cynical amongst us might even think that the wording has been deliberately chosen to be particularly misleading to those experiencing 'grey matter deficiency' to achieve just this result... :|

It probably has not been damaged permanently but  for every phone call they take from someone giving them grief, thats one phone call that cannot be taken from someone who may need their services.

Unbelievable. Not a word of condemnation over the hundreds of abusive messages.
