one_eye_ted 10 #1 Posted February 8, 2019 Has anyone got ant berry/current plants / canes they can part with? Rasperberries, Gooseberries, Honeyberries, Josta berries , white and red currants, blueberries, Saskatoon berries and cranberries. Chez2 10 #2 Posted February 8, 2019 We dug loads of plants up in autumn and put them in the skip. Its coming to the end of the bare root season so if you can't get any for free you may pick up a bargain from specialist fruit and hedging nurseries. There is a Facebook group called something like plants for sale, swap give away South Yorkshire. There are a lot of good plants on there from time to time. We offered a lot of ours for free, a few were a couple of pounds each. We restyled our garden but lots of people have excess plants to swap, giveaway or trade on there and the quality is good. Chez2 10 #4 Posted February 9, 2019 Bare root are relatively cheap anyway compared to pot grown. Its best to buy something for taste and yield rather than just the cheapest plant which can be a waste of time and money.
 Share this content via...
