It is not 65.

For current 60 year olds it will be 66.

It is the date when you receive your state pension. calculate here

If issued in South Yorkshire then it is not valid in Wales, Scotland.

You cannot be used on trams, underground, metros etc. except in Sheffield.

A Derbyshire Wayfarer (including to/from Sheffield)for trains and buses is £6.50 for over 60s

Correct - I was 63 when I got mine - same as pension.

I got mine at about 63 (but not on my birthday, but about 3 months later), but retired (and got state pension) from my 65th birthday

I remember seeing a chart, with a sliding scale - probably to bring it in line with the moving retirement age, over time. But they weren’t in line when I got mine

For a man, the date you get your bus pass is the same date when a woman of your age will receive her state pension. For a woman it's the same date you receive your state pension.

Use the calculator link above.
