Pretend Police Force

I'm starting to think That we don't really have a Police Force that fights crime.

Knife crime? Out of control and no way of stopping it. Burglaries left unsolved.

My friend's car was broken into and things were stolen. Police wouldn't even come out for it.

You don't see coppers on the beat anymore.Numbers of coppers on the force?

The answer, not enough.

I believe we do have less crime overall, but violent crime has been rising.

I have read numerous times about a burglary and the car keys stolen also. I guess those affected would prefer more taxes and the crimes prevented.

Lots of internet-crime and relationship crime crimes these days, maybe that is what keeps the police busy.

Are MPs too busy to tackle acid and knife crime, seems that way to me.

If there is no evidence to investigate a crime (usually a witness or cctv) then it will simply be filed so the police would rather concentrate resources on crimes which can be solved.

UK policing is grossly  underfunded and will remain so until Theresa May has finished exacting revenge for the 'plebgate' affair.

It's probably far easier and less dangerous sitting at a desk and trawling social media for hurt feelings... apparently that's a crime far more worthy of police resources in the modern world.

Less crime el cid? more like less reported crime is more likely. People that have stuff nicked or damaged usually do not bother to report because nothing will be done about it.The police are having enough trouble covering the serious stuff so no chance for anything minor.

If you voted Conservative, it's your fault. If you didn't don't blame the Police, blame the government.

Most idiots who break the law on Twitter do so in their own name, so it is generally very easy to investigate, the evidence is quick to secure, even if deleted, and most people end up pleading guilty so a much more efficient use of limited resources. 

 

The problem with a lot of burglaries is that people do know who carried them out but wont give a statement to the police so it's not that difficult to understand why the police just shrug their shoulders and file the case for NFA.

Yes, then the CPS get hold of it.

 

The police in general know how the CPS work, and probably makes their job a misery.

Not many in Sheffield voted Conservative, but to blame voters is just nonsense.

 

What would you say to a person who voted Hitler in the 1930s? (BEFORE the attrocities?) do you blame them for voting for someone they thought could get them out of the **** that Germany was in at the time? (the whole world was in turmoil at the time, and Germany was particularly affected, as you well know as an academic man.)

 

What do you think to my one and only ever vote, which was for LibDem? Do you blame me for uni fees?

In what way is that "apparent"?

Is it apparent from the actual figures, or apparent from some other source of information?

Billions of UK tweets are offensive in some way, yet a tiny fraction are every prosecuted, usually as part of a larger harassment/stalking indictment, so that theory is out the window too.
