Longcol   600 #3 Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Oh good - I'll be back in Sheffield for a couple of days in March staying at the Novotel so looking forward to seeing them. A couple of times I've been to the Close de Luce in France where he spent his last 3 years and they've got models of lots of his inventions on display, and also seen some paintings in the Uffizi in Florence. It'll be a real treat to see some of his work in Sheffield. Edited February 5, 2019 by Longcol
 Share this content via...

RiffRaff   10 #6 Posted February 6, 2019 Had the pleasure of going to the Da Vinci exhibition in the National Gallery a few years ago, when it featured the largest collection of his works ever assembled. Bought the "Inventions" pop-up book when we were there, just to round off the visit. Fascinating man, centuries ahead of his time. Truly a genius. Ghozer   112 #9 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) I saw the full exhibition in London a few years ago at Buckingham palace (2012 I think it was) - was a few hundred pieces, and I took photos of most of them, (not sure where they are now, may have lost them long ago) and it was great.. Will probably go check this out Edited February 6, 2019 by Ghozer
 Share this content via...

wornout53 Â Â 10 #11 Posted February 16, 2019 I went with my granddaughter and we both really enjoyed it. I was just simply in awe at these 500 year old drawings that are so accurate and beautiful. I bought my granddaughter a book about his anatomical drawings because she is an art student and really interested in them.
 Share this content via...
