Wilkinsons at Darnall closing

Heard  Wilkinsons at darnall are closing  what a shame once a good area / Say no more eh ]

Darnall has gone down the nick massively in the last 20 years

Darnall and Attercliffe used to be a fantastic area, buzzing to a point. I'm not sure what's caused its decline but it is a shadow of its former glory. The same can be said for the city centre. The wife has given up shopping in Sheffield, preferring Barnsley. Whatever happened to our town??

Not sure of it's decline over the past 20 years. Are you serious I would have thought it was blatantly obvious

Out of interest,  Why specifcially do they prefer Barnsley?     It certainly cannot be the choice and range shops as Sheffield quite obviously far excels Barnsley's offering.

Perhaps it'll go back to being a Tesco but with Lidl for competition, maybe not. Why did Lidl pull down a perfectly good brick building (Morrisons) and stick up a shed and why were they allowed to? Another nail for Darnall.

I thought I read that it is closing because the lease is coming to an end. I have only used it a few times, I think it is too  small for all the products Wilko sells, the aisles seem close together and cramped with a lot of products in a little space.
