Ipswich v Owls

Recommended Posts

Surprised  no one had started a thread for today so here it is.

Today’s line up against Ipswich:

Westwood

Palmer

Fox

Fletcher

Bannan
Lees

Reach

Boyd

Hutchinson

Hector

Forestieri

Subs:
Dawson, Thorniley, Onomah, Aarons, Pelupessy, Nuhiu, Joao.

Only one of the new signings in the squad for today, good to see FF back.

3 very welcome points. Was sick as a Parrot at 0-0, what with the missed 4 or 5 good chances.

Another 3 points towards the top six? It'd be great for us, and great media fodder for Sky, the BBC and the other sport broadcasters.

Mission impossible Hots? or is it... could be a whole new picture in 3 games,, Millwall, Reading, Rotherham all winnable, Stranger things have happened in football.

It was a good win for Bruce, however

Ipswich are the bottom club

They have lost to Rotheham

They are certain to get relegated

Yes a win, but not a win against a team like Norwich or West Brom

But let's not get too critical, this was a good win

Any win away from home is a good win, this applies to any team in any league.

Ask our little brother to the other side of the city if a win against Ipswich is a 'poor' win if they fall 2 points short of automatics or the play offs.

I will take the 1-0, it was certainly a  performance  that warranted more goals which was pleasing to see. No more tippy tappy across the back  has been  a bonus since the new regime has taken over.  A  long way to go but it,s a far better from what we had served up  under JL.  Only time will tell how far it takes us but the positives are there to be seen.

Wins a win. It would of been nice to knock a couple more in but as long as we score more than them it's ok. If we can go on a 3 or 4 game run of wins it will make the look much better. Playoffs though I think we've left too late but you never know
