I think I must point out that this 'ere snake of which you speak is (i) by definition, a reptilian creature and (ii) is a ficticious character.

Try telling that to all those fundamental Xtians who believe every word in the bible to be true!

Benito Mussolini - he only aligned to fascism because he had grand plans of ruling all of the former Roman empire, most of which was held by France and the UK, so he had to go with their enemies (Nazi Germany). At heart he was very much a socialist liberal, but to gain Hitler's favour (and accompanying promises of the Balkan, North Africa and the Middle East) he agreed to introduce anti-Jewish laws and things started to unraffle from there.

bad decision making as a result of pandering to Hitler meant he entered war too soon, Italy was still very much a 'nation in becoming' with many disparate factions that did not want to fight side by side for the same cause, and finally, his efforts to try and gain an 'industrial war machine' led to the destruction of its own economy.

Don't get me wrong, he was a bad, bad man, but the typical characterisation of Italy as the idiots that fought alongside Germans and had to be bailed all the time is not that simple.

If the snake's  intention was misunderstood what was it's correct  intention?

I would say it intended to reveal the truth (the tree of knowledge) that the authority wanted to keep from them.

I would ask what was the authority's intention in wanting to keep this from them?

Interesting theory that - Rod Stewart's lyrics foretold Brexit even before we'd joined the EEC!

Jesuses father Joe, I mean he never had a bit of nookie and then finds him sen in a stable at Christmas and his Mrs has a babie.

Apart from that he must have been thick to not realise that all the bed and breakfast places would be full at Christmas.

I would suggest Alan Turing, he helped saved millions of lives in WW2 with his work on breaking the German enigma code and also was relevant in the birth of the computer. Sadly, he was chemically castrated because of his homosexuality and committed suicide soon after.

Canute /Cnut - Poacher turned gamekeeper and brought in a period of prosperity.

AND

He didn't think he could turn the tide back. Royal creeps and  sycophants needed to be  calmed down.

Cleopatra

She was a powerful and strong woman who ruled Egypt, but today she’s remembered for her beauty and relationships with different men.  Also how she committed suicide using a snake.
