Best example of a Sheffield boundary sign

Recommended Posts

Any suggestions the best example of a Sheffield boundary sign?

You know the sign at the side of the road when you leave Doncaster or wherever and enter Sheffield.

It's for a film.

Best example I mean - no graffiti & not over run by bushes and hedges. Pref no advertising either - the one with the Sheffield coat of arms would be great. If anyone knows where one of those is

Any suggestions - so I can check out via street view.

Many thanks

Orgreave Road?

Just have a look on Google Maps, where the city boundary is and there will be plenty to chose from. Presumably more scenic on west side of city out towards the peaks.

The one on Bawtry Road, between Brinsworth and Tinsley, isn't bad. It also has a steel reference too.

It's just before the Hallam University Sports park

It looks like that person's house isn't in Sheffield, but their bedroom and garage is :)

the Snake Pass. Just above Mortimer Rd (which leads to the Strines Pub.)

    Clear view on Street View

I got it - same question as above - is that stainless thing an ad or a council/official thing?

Many thanks

Turn Left at the Strine s Juction onto Mancheter Rd . Carry on toward Sheffield

It is on the right  hand side of the road about 200 yards  up the road

It has the Sheffield Coat of Arms on it. You must have driven past it
