Ok you could Signup/Join online at Yak Chat /LiChess Where you can play Chess, there are some other places with games like Backgammon plus some other board games etc at many other Sites......

I'd be up for an occasional pre-arranged game....there...

 

But I'd still prefer Face to Face Chess Games....anywhere Local.

Win or Lose.....Tournament or Social Chess..Backgammon, Draughts.

Does anyone know of A Very or Cheap Rooms for Daytime Use, or Alternatively know of A Game Friendly Pub, or A Friendly Landlord, who wants to increase his/her Trade.....

I'm interested in Chess, it's an absolutely awesome game!

 

I play for one of the Sheffield clubs (only in their C team), and we occasionally play against other clubs in the Sheffield and district league. The idea of playing 'serious' competitive chess horrified my at first, but I'm finding I quite enjoy it now. Anyhow, the club I'm with is friendly, supportive and fun. There is no pressure to play in the league; and a lot of people just like to play socially for fun. I'm pretty sure that's the case with most chess clubs, you'd be fine just turning up to play casual games.
