It sounds like you care about beer cyclone; you deliberately look for a certain style of beer and don`t mind trying  different breweries. People that don`t care stick to (many) pints of the same beer , usually very bland and / or go for the cheap option. Quality not quantity, eh?

Any food at Crow?

No but Chris said they were looking to get bar snacks such as pies.

Why is someone taste in beer mean whether they care or not.

why is someone’s taste more valid than others?

and why if you drink a certain type of beer

do you have to be someone who drinks many pints of it?

It was pretty full yesterday evening when I visited for the first time. I did not like the modern style of bare echoing walls which makes it too loud for my taste (get some curtains up, for Pete's sake!) and the shouty bar staff did not help, but I was very impressed with the selection of beers. The Northern Monk stout was a treat. Guess I'll have to get some ear-plugs for my next visit...

Lack of soft furnishings seems to be a modern trend doesn't it.  But it leaves places becoming really loud as conversation echoes off the hard walls and ceilings.

curtains are on the 'to do' list - like any new business, they're seeing how things go and what needs tweaking
