Do nhs dental prices increase every year?

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

As per the thread title, do the costs increase year-on-year? Or is it every couple or so years?

Thanks.

The increase is set by the government, so it's however often the government choose to increase them.  Typically they're every year, but there's no rule that says that they can only increase yearly so they could increase more or less frequently if the powers that be decided so.

Thanks medusa. And is it usually in April when the prices increase, or could it really be anytime of the year?

The NHS website was updates 1st April so perhaps it goes up each year? I don't know. The page says when its next to be reviewed but I don't think that means the next time the price will be reviewed. https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/dental-health/what-is-included-in-each-nhs-dental-band-charge/
