Ernest weston - queen st/banks st

Recommended Posts

Not sure which street it was on tbh - but it was a company with offices on one of these streets.  I don't even know what they did.

I know I went out with a lovely girl who worked there called Gail Barlow.  She was from Woodhouse.  Beaver Hill?  Certainly!

;)

I used to deal with a company in the late 60s called Ernest Weston who were wholesale newsagents and had a warehouse off the Wicker.

Don’t know if that’s any help ?

The 1965 Kelly's Directory shows E. Weston & Sons, wholesale newsagents, on Joiner Street near the Wicker, and also Ernest Weston, accountants, at 55 Queen Street.

The same Westons used to dabble in cars and motorbikes in the fifties
