Where did the Crown Estates come from ,A gift from God maybe or perhaps they were plundered in the Middle Ages and the some times dodgy descendants and their hundreds of hangers on are still receiving the massive BENIFITS to this day  .

France got it right when they got rid of their scroungers years ago.

Sod all to do with homelessness and all to do with an attempt to have some pathetic rant about the existance of our Monarchy and some tenuous link between modern day social issues and historcial events which took place as early as the 10th century.

They do have massive privelages, I agree. But your OP is a distortion. It implies the building will be using some new money. It will be done with the ridiculous fortune they already have, the sovereign grant is a bit of smoke and mirrors.

Thousands of folk are homeless , some sleep on friends or relations settee's , others are residing with parents but would deeply like a home of their own ,but due

to low wages are unable to save enough for even the lowest deposit to get on the housing ladder,

As for as social housing goes I was told just four years ago that 90 thousand people were on the housing register in South Yorkshire most of these being single people without a chance of ever getting to the front of the list due to priorities (whatever they may be ?) .

So you see when I say" Homeless read this " it is not only aimed at people sleeping on cardboard boxes in shop doorways but also those who are able to go on line as well as YOU who choose to believe that spending Three million on a renovation to a luxury house in Windsor so as a couple of privileged over indulged people can continue to be cosseted in a way that they and their hundreds of relatives are used to.

And it is public funds no matter what fancy name is given to  it .Just how many council houses for our young would 3 mill build .
