Thanks Ben, that's good information, things seem to be developing nicely. I think the RAF Typhoon will be a current one from Coningsby, not a Hawker one! The BBMF Dakota is ready to go, they've completed the winter service early, I don't know if that's specifically for this event. Weather is looking good.

Hi

I'm turning up to this. Is anyone from the 1940s vintage mob coming in 1940s gear to set the scene? I will if you will!

Where can I get an American flag to wave to show our friends across the pond that we care. Event televised live on BBC from 6.15 am till 9 am and beamed across the world

Yes, Jeddo, several of my friends who go to WW11 re-enactments are going in costume. They say many from other groups will also be there.

Do we know where they will head to after passing over the park? - I mean would I see much from the top of a hill in the Peak District or around Ladybower?

I've been wondering if they will be able to resist playing dambusters on the way home too. 😀

I'm not sure about some of them. A direct line between Market Warsop (the holding area) and Endcliffe Park goes over Meersbrook Park before going on to Crosspool. Park Hill and Sky Edge are getting on for 4km from the apparent route. Chelsea Park should be a good place to view from if you don't want to see them going directly overhead - it's about 500m from the route and higher up than Endcliffe Park.
