Woodseats History

A lot of the houses on Olivet Road were demolished, where did all the ex residents go?

I remember the Darlows the Whatthams, I know the Bolers moved to Chesterfield, I see them quite often.

Anyone remember the Woodseats Lads and anyone from the Big tree, Woodseats hotel, and the Chantry?

I know one or two of them had woodseats lads tattooed on there arms and we always. Drank in the big trees tap room o happy days

I boozed on the woodseats every night in the late 70's and most of the 80's.

Me also, met the first wife in the woodseats,lived on the fraser just down from melvin ellis, rember the bolas and brendan smith

Never got to having that tattoo, one thing was for sure, you were allways amongst friends on woodseats

not been up there for a few years but will making a trip over there soon, would love to be able to meet a few of the lads again, i was pretty well known on the top and down at the sheaf. Did yer ever get to sit with dave smith (smithy) in the chantry?
