I remember her TV programmes with some affection, even though I didn't always agree with her opinion.

I like these:

Wendy on Salvador Dali:

"He sought out the shocking: if spitting upon his dead mother's image would attract attention, he was a prolific and boastful spitter."

Wendy on Hieronymus Bosch

“Eccentric and secret genius that he was, Bosch not only moved the heart, but scandalized it into full awareness. The sinister and monstrous things that he brought forth are the hidden creatures of our inward self-love: he externalizes the ugliness within, and so his misshapen demons have an effect beyond curiosity. We feel a hateful kinship with them. 'Ship of Fools' is not about other people. It is about us.”

[PS: I think Hieronymus Bosch was a genius.]
