Old cine film onto dvd locally?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Id like to find somewhere locally that transfers cine film onto DVD. I dont want to risk posting it off. Has anybody had this done locally?

Thanks

Costco do it

Eh?    You're having a laugh surely?

I'd dread to think how long it would take them if they did.  It's not a quick job, editing film or transferring it to a new media.  We're talking 2-3 hours work minimum, in a studio.

I had some tyres fitted at Costco a couple of years ago.  Now that is a relatively quick job - 30 minutes max.  It took them over 2 and a half hours!  And at the end of it I still had to take it somewhere else to get the tracking done!

What have tyres got to do with film?  Nothing!  But the common denominator here is the speed at which you can reasonably expect Costco to do even the simplest of things - like get people through a checkout!  They specialise in being very slow at everything.  So if they do edit film and transfer it to alternative media, expect them to take a few years over it!
