trainwalker   10 #25 Posted December 19, 2018 The  general gist of the forum seems to be that DC will not sack Jos. Now I agree that Jos is a good manager and probably the best manager Wednesday can attract. Anyone better than Jos isn’t going to want to come to Hillsborough and work with DC. The thing is that yes it is a poor season but relegation will definitely not be happening because reassuringly there are some dire teams at the foot of the championship that even worse than Wednesday.
 Share this content via...

I believe it to be incorrect, he made an impassioned speech at the end and the press have taken about 20 words out of context. Hotmale 1954   195 #28 Posted December 20, 2018 Yep, we're up for sale for a rumoured £200m (Andy Giddings, Radio Sheffield) Red Bull's people are currently Googling to see if they can find it cheaper online.
 Share this content via...

As are the Guardian, Sky News and pretty much every major sports publication.  He's having a laugh if he expects to get £200 million for the club. Andrea Radrizzini paid only £45m for Leeds last year, and although he also bought Elland Road back but his total investment is way under £100m. I would argue that as an asset it is much more valuable than Wednesday, largely because so many of your key players are out of contract at the end of the season.  Does Wednesday own Hillsborough? Jim Hardie   495 #33 Posted December 20, 2018 What a relief. DC says we won't go down. Just like Kevin McCabe in 2011.
 Share this content via...
Grappler   12 #34 Posted December 20, 2018 200 million, good luck with that...........  And the Star said something about Chancer meeting the players on the training pitch earlier this week, and giving them a dressing down?, man management at its finest. Brooker11   10 #35 Posted December 20, 2018 It was first reported by Dom Howson, then The Star, then Radio Sheffield then all other media outlets copied the original, it was taken out of context as I heard the speech that it was said in, if you want to believe that the clubs up for sale go ahead. 1 hour ago, Grappler said: 200 million, good luck with that...........  And the Star said something about Chancer meeting the players on the training pitch earlier this week, and giving them a dressing down?, man management at its finest. Dont want to spoil a rant with facts but DC arrived back in England and went straight to the training ground, he had a frank meeting with the players to ask what's going wrong and what he can do to help them. Igor   12 #36 Posted December 20, 2018 Interesting comments from Brooker11 who was there & has been clear on his/her interpretation of what DC actually said. Surprising that if reported incorrectly, the club has not (yet) come out with a statement!
 Share this content via...
