Who said i would be?

I’m not trying to make a point about food.

im trying to understand why it’s offensive to you that someone doesn’t identify as British.

why is that?

I think it may be something to do with a sense of white British people being expected to be tolerant of different cultures and making an effort to accommodate them but these same cultures not being willing to adapt to the white British culture they are living in and defending their right to maintain their culture (but if white British similarly defend their own culture they can face being called racist).  Now don’t all jump on me - I know this isn’t always the case but there is a grain of truth in this and if it’s just swept under the carpet and dismissed as rubbish it will only fester, create resentment and make the problem worse; in a multicultural society, tolerance must work both ways.
