Quite, if I attempted to steal £200k worth of stuff from a bank, jewellers or supermarket it would certainly be a police matter.

Not quite the same thing as he had zero chance of succeeding. He was trying his luck, which is what lotteries are all about.  😊

What I dont understand is why the Sheffield Star and other news outlets continue to run with the story.  Hes obviously a pillock and two tiles short of a bathroom. Surely someone with any brains should tell him to stop and ignore him.

Thumb screws would do the trick, fairly quickly as well.

Simple - 'newspapers' these days don't have editors, or anyone who is competent to verify the tripe their contributors supply, so any rubbish is published as 'fact'.

The fact this is still running shows the individuals total stupidity.  As has been pointed out many times in this thread, the validation on lottery scratch-cards is performed by the barcode and validation code - not by what the scratched off panels allegedly  display.

Hmmm...

... and that's exactly the predicament this silly man has got himself into.

If he 'gives up' now then he is effectively admitting to attempted fraud because anyone who genuinely believed that they had done nothing wrong would surely welcome a full investigation as they would have nothing to lose, and they certainly wouldn't walk away from the possibility of pocketting £200k if the investigation did happen to prove them innocent, like he claims he is.

So it looks to me like it's reached an impasse, and it's hard to see how he envisages the whole process playing out. Does he really just expect them to change their minds and pay up without a full investigation?

Camelot are no mugs. I'm pretty sure they've got a legal team of fraud specialists just waiting for the silly man to agree to a full investigation so they can take matters further and charge him with something serious... :suspect:

Let him keep on with his stupidity he is obviously a comedian and enjoys the general public laughing at him like we have all said.......

The man in question is a TOTAL FOOL......

No-one can help individuals like this once they get something in their heads that they are in the right no-one can tell them any different even when its the TRUTH.......

This is my last post on this matter I have a feeling that he will go on for ever disputing that he is right and Camelot are wrong when its clear to everyone their not......

All this reminds me of an account I read of a bloke from Sheffield who was winning in the football pools (late 1950's-early 60's)almost every week, sometimes a couple hundred quid and then 2,000-a  lot of money then- until Littlewood's cottoned on to him. He had a quite intriguing way of doing it , seemingly foolproof but I won't reveal his method as to spoil the story...oh yes..he was prosecuted.

I think it was called the 'Infra draw method' (whatever that was). I understand Horace died almost penniless, so much for that then.

No, he left £150,000. Just been reading up about him on Wiki.
