Steve bruce on his way to swfc

Recommended Posts

Yes the managers last a long time at the Lane, a lot longer than the Wednesday managers who don't get time to gradually settle in before they are sacked.

Bryan Robson 9 months

Kevin Blackwell 18 months

Gary Speed, ok he left for a better job, 4 months

Mickey Adams 4.5 months

David Weir 4 months

Nigel Adkins 11 months

Nice to see Stoke have set on a up and coming british manager Nathan Jones.Have thought for some time he has what it takes to succeed at a higher level good luck to him. This means Luton are managerless so it could work in the owls favour.I will look with interest at his progress at the potters. Also two more up and coming managers will soon in my opinion soon be on the up at Lincoln and Accrington.

i agree nice to see the old type of idea ,where a player becomes a manager ,then works his way up the leagues, but its the chance bit that puts clubs off

"Incoming Sheffield Wednesday boss Steve Bruce says he contemplated whether to end his managerial career before accepting the Hillsborough job.

The 58-year-old was appointed at the start of the year, but will not take charge until 1 February.

He is currently in the Caribbean watching the England cricket team."

He is watching cricket but for a very valid personal reason and I admire him for it.
