Mine saves it to a sub-folder in my DCIM folder.

It HAS to save the received image somewhere on your device  or you can't view it.

Take the wider points on social media use, but dopey councillors aside, whatsapp and its end-to-end encryption is actually a really safe way to communicate - a lot of the diplomatic services use it now rather than secure emails.

Sending soft porn images probably cost a colleague of mine over £5,000 of work.

I had asked him to bid for an emergency job for a client of mine. As there were flights to be booked in connection with this work I asked him to stick it all in an e-mail. When I hadn't recieved it after 24 hours, I rang him and asked him where the email was. He told me that he had sent it the day before.  After checking that he had the right email address I asked him to resend, as I needed to book flights.

Still no email so I went elsewhere. A month later I found his emails in one of my spam folders along with one that he had sent me (and everyone else in his contact book) of a 'funny' as the young people call them, of a cartoon featuring a naked lady. I assume this is why my  provider classed the email as spam and blocked further mails from the same email address!

(the cartoon wasn't that funny either! ;))

Doubtful a glimpse of the female form would drive you immediately insane, either on personal phone or dare I say a company one.

That's true.

Bit off post a little, today's female "pop" stars expose as much as they can within the bounds of decency. But no one seems to critisise them for doing it do they.

Only some do and that usually depends on their target audience.
