Most expensive is going to vary over time, but imperial stouts served in 1/3rds can cost £5 a third these days, Brewdog, Sheffield Tap, Rutland Arms, they all sometimes have something on that is >£10 a pint, although you wouldn't typically buy it in a pint.

No idea where the cheapest is, maybe the student union, maybe out of town in a working mens club or miners welfare or something like that.

Comparing the cheapest and most expensive 'pint' isn't really a fair comparison without specifying what's in that pint. . Cheapest is going to be some mass produced tasteless bilge, and most expensive will more than likely be something with a double digit abv, that's spent a year or 2 aging in bourbon/sherry/rum/cognac casks, and travelled thousands of miles to get here, hence the high price tag. Comparing apples and oranges

Cheapest would normally be Sam Smiths mild  in the Brown Bear should you be inclined to drink such stuff.

most expensive normal session beer I would imagine would be in a hotel bar.

most expensive beer full stop  is a movable feast. It depends on what specialist imported beers are on where. As said though, it's probably unfair to use them as a comparison as the reason they are sold expensive is they are more expensive to produce and source.

The Nag's Head at Loxley (near Loxley to be more precise) is still £2 a pint, no matter which pint you have, be it a low strength one at 3.5% or something almost twice as strong.  I think that's probably the best value of any pub in the country, never mind in Sheffield.

And their "pie and a pint" deal is a good one.  Can't remember exactly now, but I think was something like £7.50 for large home-made pie, chips and peas, and any pint.  The food is good too!  And the beers are straight from Bradfield Brewery.  This time of year you may find the seasonal "Belgian Blue" on tap - that's rather special.

Went to the Hollywood Bowl, must have been around 2010, and they charged £4.08p for a 330ml bottle of Budweiser.

Local Stancill ales are reasonably cheap, last time I had one in The Albion on London Rd a few months back, seem to remember they were all around £2.50 regardless of strength, from a session bitter about 3.5% to Barnsley Bitter about 3.8% on to a decent porter at 4.5%.  All the same price.

Wetherspoons does several pints including John Smiths, Magners, Bud Light etc for under £2 a pint.   And they usually have several guest ales on for £2.25 a pint, reduced to £1.99 on Mondays.
