Borrowing. The thing the Tories user to crucify Labour for.

The Adam Smith Institute has lambasted the budget as a case of  'the government is spending money like a drunken sailor'. If this was a Labour budget it would probably have its own thread on here with people ranting about Socialists spending other people’s money.

It’s very entertaining if you put certain words in the search box followed by search by author. Spend and borrowing are good ones to start with.

Or as John Crace put it, "If this had been a Labour chancellor announcing the very same measures, the Conservative MPs would have been having a full-on Venezuelan Marxist heart attack, but as it was their boy they collapsed with [intense pleasure]".

Examples would be useful.

I’m just amazed that some folks take Guardian articles seriously.

More seriously than say the sun, daily mail or express?

You might get more at a local charitable co-op but always make sure you know of any potential risks.

"Never apologise. Never Explain" - Winston Churchill (and others)

This would fit most of the Tories on this forum. The arrogance is sadly predictable.

"The best from of defence is attack."

The replies to the Labour / Conservative thread here prove this to be so.

Posted (edited)

The BBC said this morning that it was pretty much Labour's election spending plan put into action, aside from the free broadband and stuff.

On the face of it, it just looks like a thank you  to those who chose the Tories.  I just hope all this spending can be afforded.

Sunak’s spend, spend, spend budget is tough for Labour to attack
